Midweek Devotion: The Call We Can't Ignore
Scripture:
“He has shown you, O mortal, what is good.
And what does the Lord require of you?
To act justly and to love mercy
and to walk humbly with your God.” — Micah 6:8 (NIV)
Reflection
In a world full of noise, celebrity, and controversy, it’s easy to believe that greatness is reserved for the powerful, the loud, or the famous. But Micah reminds us that God’s idea of greatness has always been different.
God isn’t asking us to go viral or change the world in one sweep. He’s asking us to do justice — not just believe in it. To love mercy — not just tolerate people. And to walk humbly — not chase applause.
This is the kind of life that shapes culture and shifts history. It's quiet. It’s faithful. And it’s powerful.
If it feels like there are no more world-changers out there, maybe it’s because God is calling us to be the ones. Not someday — but now. In your workplace. Your neighborhood. Your home.
Prayer
Lord, help me live out Micah 6:8 today. Give me eyes to see injustice, a heart that delights in mercy, and feet that walk humbly with You. I don’t want to just admire goodness in others — I want to be someone who lives it. Amen.
Challenge
This week: Ask yourself three questions each day:

Challenge
This week: Ask yourself three questions each day:
- Did I act justly today?
- Did I extend mercy where I could have withheld it?
- Did I walk humbly with God instead of striving for recognition?
